Open role Tango dancer
Valérie started tango in Geneva in 2009 with Alejandro and then Mariella. In December 2012 she moved to Buenos Aires, where she deepened her knowledge with various teachers (R. Dinzel, Cecilia & Serkan, Rocío & Bruno, Ariadna N., Inés M., Roxana S., the Motivo girls: Dina, Valencia & Luciana). Later, she undertook a documentary on feminist movements in tango and discovered queer tango. She gradually learned to guide, thanks in particular to the inspiring people around her: Soledad N., Eva M., Dani B., Mathilde G., Anahi C., Corinna H. and many others.
Back in Geneva, where her love of this dance was born, she offers seminars once a month, with an approach based on exploration and role change. The idea is to move towards self-expression in a beautiful connection with one's dance partner, the music and the space in which one moves. She proposes solo exercises first, then two-person exercises, changing roles.
Her focus is on a technique where both roles communicate actively to create each tango together. You can come alone or accompanied. The aim is to have fun with music, to explore in a relaxed and dynamic way a conversation for two that's just like us.
Valérie is also trained in bioenergetics and offers targeted tools to help you gain greater freedom in your dance, with energy flowing freely through every part of your body. For more in-depth work, she also offers private classes.a
